On March 28, 2025, the "Museum Summit 2025", a world-class event in the global museum sector, kicked off in Hong Kong. Co-hosted by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and France's Musée Guimet (National Museum of Asian Arts), the summit, themed "Going Beyond Boundaries", brought together over 30 leading experts and figures in the cultural and museum field from 17 countries. Centering on four interdisciplinary directions including "Museums + Tourism" and "Museums + Technology", participants explored innovative strategies for global museums to address the challenges and opportunities in the 21st century.
Li Mengdi, Chairman of the Company, was invited to attend the opening ceremony and deliver a keynote speech at the "Museums + Technology" thematic session. He proposed that technology should always serve content: in scenarios such as virtual exhibitions and digital restoration of cultural relics, only by integrating humanistic spirit and philosophical thinking can we transcend the superficiality of technology and convey a power that resonates deeply. He pointed out that contemporary museums are no longer static "cultural warehouses"; digitalization empowers cultural relics to "come alive", enabling immersive interaction and virtual curation that allows audiences to engage in dialogue with history.
